Ain't this Yummy? Imagine how it tastes with milk and cocoa... Hold your horses and don’t get angry now…. This isn’t a cooking website, nor will you find a recipe on this page…

I confess this was just the hook for getting your attention. What I wanted to talk to you about in this article, what I felt compelled to write about, is books.
I’m not talking about some philosophical, larger than life, classic, books, but about those books that you enjoy, that take you on a journey, books that you get completely drawn into. Savory books, the ones that “taste” like milk dipped cinnamon / apple cookies , books that make you want to read them again …. and again … and again, just so that you can relive those moments, rediscover another side of something you already knew.

Magic Labyrinth - Riverworld Saga - Philippe Jose Farmer

I was lucky enough to have relived this very experience recently, when I received Magic Labyrinth(Philippe Jose Farmer) book as a gift from my girlfriend for Valentine’s Day. If you haven’t read this trilogy (Riverworld saga), even if you don’t fancy that much the science fiction genre I suggest you try it. The richness of the descriptions, the flavor and colorfulness of the style in which it has been written make it worth your time. The book focuses on the journey of 4 main characters in an afterlife world, in search for a meaning to the existence and purpose of man. It is certainly a great book.

Stars and Planets - Ian Ridpath

Stars and Planets(Ian Ridpath) is a great book for learning the “layout” of the constellations in the sky. This is a great book for novices in the field of astronomy, or for people who would like to have the basic knowledge to identify the principal constellations and stars in the sky. The book is filled with beautifully made charts and diagrams, that guide the reader into the field of astronomy. There is also sufficient information about the neccessary equipment(telescopes,) and the proper terminology used in this field.

Atlante Degli Animali - Corriere Della Sera
Corriere Della Sera (one of the of top newspapers in Italy), published this 18 volumes series, as an addition to the daily newspaper. The series, titled
Atlante Degli Animali focuses on 18 endangered species, with each volume describing the habitat, general information on the species, and a thourough glossary explaining some of the more difficult terms encountered in this book. Throughout the series the perfect quality of the pictures, the design of the pages, the quality of the paper all demonstrate the care and passion that was put into this work. It simply is a delight reading it every time.
